I don't want to sound gloomy but things have been very very hard since the last report, the PhD progressed too slowly, lots of anxiety and my partner's health issues have been bogging me down in general. I thought I would have finished my "curves tutorial" booklet by now so I could promote it on this newsletter but I sadly haven't passed 30% and couldn't touch it in the last month.

On better news, Monday, October the 14th, I'll start teaching a nice online course promoted by the São Paulo Modern Art Museum - MAM, "Drawing with code: a creative coding introduction", 6 weekly classes (in Portuguese). I think there are still some available seats, check the course page.

Some sketch-a-day highlights:

An interactive demo for coding curves (for the curves teaching material)
A small "tetris" I have made with py5 and now ported to pyp5js
A nice GIF loop that evolved from a class activity
Some networkx graphviz experiments
You'll notice several sketches with Islamic star patterns, stay tuned I'll have some workshops at Sesc in November about them.

One of my private Python tutoring students had to pause so I think I can still manage a weekly slot. If you know someone who would like Python and/or creative coding private classes please reach out.

Não quero soar muito para baixo, mas as coisas têm sido muito, muito difíceis desde a última postagem, o doutorado progrediu muito lentamente, a ansiedade e os problemas de saúde da minha companheira têm me deixado para baixo em geral. Pensei que já teria terminado meu livreto "tutorial de curvas" para poder promovê-lo neste boletim, mas infelizmente não passei de 30% e não consegui mexer no material no último mês.

Mas para falar de coisas boas, segunda-feira, 14 de outubro, começa meu curso online promovido pelo MAM-SP, "Desenhando com código: programação criativa", 6 encontros (em português). Acho que ainda tem vagas disponíveis, confira a página de inscrições do curso.
